Behind the Bold

Group of people participating in a yoga class in a wooden-floored studio, practicing child's pose on yoga mats.

We’re not here to fit in. We’re here to wake you up.

Spotted Dog Yoga & SUP isn’t your average studio — it’s a place where sweat meets soul and movement gets real. We built this space for people who want more than perfect poses. They want presence, grit, and growth that sticks.

Since 2014, we’ve redefined what yoga can be. Our classes are raw, vibrant, and unapologetically alive — from the fire of PowerBurn to the reset of DeepCalm, and our seasonal SUP yoga adventures that take practice off the leash and onto the water.

We don’t do fluff. We do bold. We don’t do filters. We do real. We don’t do ordinary. We do spotted.

Whether you’re here to move, grow, or lead — you’re part of the pack. Move Bold. Live Spotted. This is yoga off the leash.

Why Baptiste Power Yoga?

Baptiste Yoga

We chose Baptiste Power Yoga because it works — for real people, in real life. It’s bold, accessible, and rooted in the Journey Into Power sequence, a proven framework that builds strength, focus, and freedom without chasing perfection.

You don’t need fancy poses or years of experience. You just need to show up, breathe deep, and move with purpose. Our signature PowerFlow classes blend sweat and heart, creating space for transformation — on the mat and beyond.

This practice meets you where you are, then calls you forward. It’s gritty. It’s honest. It’s powerful. And it’s the heartbeat of our community.

The Spotted Start

Family of five outdoors in a park, with a woman holding a toddler, three boys, and a man, all smiling and enjoying nature.

Spotted Dog Yoga & SUP was born from a rescue pup named Bandit and a wild love for movement that means something. Founders Nick and Katie Clark didn’t set out to build just another studio — they built a space that breaks the mold. As Tier 3 certified instructors through the Baptiste Institute, they’ve created a home in Folsom where yoga meets grit, joy, and real connection.

From powerful studio flows to seasonal paddleboard yoga and adventure retreats, Spotted Dog is where people come to move boldly, laugh loudly, and grow without chasing perfection. It’s a place where you show up as you are — and leave a little more awake.

Nick and Katie are also the proud parents of three adventurous boys — Owen, Sawyer, and Stetson — who keep life playful, loud, and beautifully real. That same spirit lives in every class, every retreat, and every moment on the mat.

Play Hard. Love Big. Live Spotted. That’s not just a motto. It’s how we roll.
